Dr. Bawumia: JDM is not talking about chop bar economy —sam pee yalley
Hey there
The 24 hour economy economic policy espouse by the former President John Dramani Mahama is creating a lot of headlines from the Trade Unions, Transport Industry, think tanks and leading economic experts questioning the proposal prospects and its proponents on how it can change the economy around, is gaining grounds.
The recent in line questioning the prospect of the 24 hour economy is the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia political comic relief approach to the policy on his tour to the Northern Region is unfounded and baseless.
The former Ambassador to India Hon. Sam Pee Yalley said this on Simpieso political show on Ahotor 92.3 FM hosted by Emmanuel Amartey (Alaska De Don)
He said the Dr. Bawumia must be reminded that, his style of politicking is far behind. And he should be reminded that he is the man in charge to lead the party and trying to adopt this irresponsible approach in using public platform to discredit his close rivals, will not work; rather he must speak to the issue with alternative.
He is of the view that, in his opinion he believes Dr. Bawumia’s understanding of the 24 hour economy is running a night chop bar around the clock.
The economic policy goes beyond his understanding of the linkages and structures on which the former president is trying to hinge the economic policy on.
He reiterated that, the 24 hour economy is envisaged to operate with a pragmatic policies and implementation, which he already started.
Pointing to the indicators such as the vision to position the garden city Kumasi in the construction of the Kejetia central market project under the erstwhile NDC is ready to served the Northern sector, to commenced a 24 hour economy in the Kejetia market. He believes with security and structural arrangement this policy can succeed.
Hon, Sam Pee Yalley said Dr. Bawumia is already rejected, in that if about 37% of his own party supporters can vote against him when he was elected, he can conclude that Dr. Bawumia has lost the credibility of trust in the political circle of Ghanaian politics.
He descend heavily on him saying the policy of 24 hour economy can only be understand by leaders with vision, than talking about “chop barr economy” preferably he can called him “Baba chop bar”
